Cardinal seeks a truce in fight between U.S. nuns and Vatican’s doctrinal office | National Catholic Reporter

Riding effortlessly on the wings of the cruel perversion and subversion that had come to govern the vision and mission
of the Church, it has been discovered, through painstaking
investigations, that, in a practice that impoverishes the faith and in a
style that looks like a re-play of the Inquisition drama of the Middle
Ages, selfishness, careerism, greed and corruption have combined to
produce a brand of brutality and corruption in the Church which grow
and flourish by striking a truce with some pretensions about faith,
about the practice of the faith itself, its growth and its protection.
And
because over-ripe suspicions seem to credit the fact that this truce
serves the interests of some Church leaders most effectively, more than
it serves the Faith –its growth, its practice and its protection, the
Leadership Conferenceof Women Religious has stuck to her guns.
Therefore, the LCDR and the CDF impasse may be about disobedience. But beyond this, it is also about a suspicion that has
been habitual because of the events that isolate the workings of
democratic mindsets in a highly secularized society like the U.S and
those that live in the neighborhood of divine government.
I pray
that Church leaders across the globe follow the example of the Holy
Father Pope Francis I in his commitment, not to Conscious Evolution
(whose driving force could range from anything relativistic to satanic
dictatorship), but to the authentic evolutionary transformation of the
Catholic Faith and a new Vatican by the Holy Spirit (Who, after all, is
afraid of revolution or evolution? But I am afraid of the kind of force,
consciously or consciously, driving it.) - to rise up to the challenges
of leadership which the faith has imposed upon them knowing full well
that the Church is one.

virtue of the unfriendly disposition of her resolve) to learn to be
