OPEN LETTER TO INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, NIGERIA

Rev. Fr. Kenneth Chinkata Evurulobi
Amuke Village
Isiahaba Autonomous Community
Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A.
Abia State.

Friday, June 28, 2013

Inspector General of Police
Mohammed Dikko Abubakar
Force Headquarters,
Louis Edet House,
Shehu Shagari Way,
Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Dear Sir,

CASE OF MURDER, ATTEMPTED MURDER, ACCESSORY TO MURDER, KIDNAPPING, TERRORISM, CORRUPTION, BREACH OF PUBLIC PEACE AND FRAUD: STRONG INDICTMENT OF, AND PLEA FOR THE ARREST AND PROSECUTION OF BISHOP VINCENT VALENTINE EZEONYIA, CSSP, CATHOLIC BISHOP OF ABA, ABIA STATE.

Sequel to the habitual intention of Bishop Vincent Valentine Ezeonyia, CSSP, Catholic Bishop of Aba to kill me and eliminate every member of the Evurulobi Family of Amuke Village, Isiahaba Autonmous Community, Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A. of Abia State, I caused a PETITION to be sent to you on behalf of myself and the members of the Evurulobi family. A copy of the petition is enclosed here and marked IGP/M20/BF.

Sir, the truth is that investigations on this matter were concluded by the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command, Umuahia where Bishop Vincent Valentine Ezeonyia was strongly indicted.

Presuming but not conceding the fact that I opted for a peaceful resolution and settlement of the matter between the Bishop and me, I wish to bring to your notice that Bishop Vincent Valentine Ezeonyia, CSSP is  and has ever remained antagonistic to and consequently has rebuffed every peaceful and reconciliatory measures within his reach as proposed.

It is very disheartening and indeed smirks of arrogance and a miscarriage of justice that, despite the issues of murder, attempted murder, official corruption and terrorism which the Bishop now and always employs in his every dealings with all those whom he has perceived as obstacles to his ambition of becoming a Cardinal – people like myself and members of the Evurulobi Family - he has continued to entrench a tradition of total contempt for the law, both civil and canonical, and a travesty of the legal institution which he claims to represent.

Sir, it is very distasteful to note that in the Catholic Diocese of Aba, Abia State, the Canon Law has been farcically redesigned and reduced to serve as a mere appendage to the whims and caprices of, or better still, a massaging instrument to the ergo of the bishop.

This input from “the axis of evil” has resulted in constant intimidations, oppressions, slavery and miscarriage of justice, and therefore portends great dangers for our Church and nation. It equally tasks all committed Catholics and every good citizen of this country to a resolute action in defense of the common patrimony of our faith and our national institutions that is well beyond the capacity of anybody to say “NO” to.

The recent developments in the Catholic Church in Uganda in respect of Fr. Anthony Musaala speaks secret volumes on the nature of the imploding disaster that stares the Church on the face in this part of the globe if the present status of accountability and transparency is sustained in the Nigerian Church especially among members of Church hierarchy.

Against every insinuation to the contrary or from any quarters, I do hereby invite you to act immediately so as to forestall a total breakdown of law and order in the state.

The Bishop has admitted severally, both in private and in public that threats to my life exist, and that, in actual fact, real and influential attempts have been made on my life.

In the presence of these facts, one is then besieged by scores of question marks on why a bishop will be after the life of his own priest, and why anybody at all would want to kill a madman?

Thus, in the matter between the Bishop and I, a lot of questions are begging for answers:

1.     Why has the Bishop pushed forward his argument in favor of my being a mad person and has insisted on this even in the presence of mountainous evidence against as attested to by the enclosed medical reports marked as follows: AB/M20/BF, AC/M20/BF, AD/M20/BF, FG/M20/BF?
2.     Why, in the midst of viable alternatives (e;g, excardination, leave of absence from the diocese, Legitimate Canonical Procedures as attested to by the enclosed documents marked as follows: (SD/M20/BF, SS/M20/BF ) did the Bishop resort to kidnapping, falsification of official documents and murder as means of settling the matter between him and me as a person?

In consideration of these questions hereof, and in view of the purpose which the libelous position of the Bishop are designed to achieve against me and against the entire members of the Evurulobi family, I therefore urge you, Sir, not only in my capacity as a Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Aba and in my  capacity a member of the Evurulobi Family but also as a rejoinder to the PETITION and PLEAS of Rev. Fr. Ignatius Nwoko (enclosed and marked as TY/M20/BF and TW/M20/BF) pending before the Assistant Inspector General of Police, A.I.G, Zone 9, Umuahia, Abia State, to, as a matter of urgency, arrest and prosecute Bishop Vincent Valentine Ezeonyia, CSSP, Catholic Bishop of Aba.

The grounds, basis and facts  which permit and sue for the prosecution of the Bishop are contained in this documentary titled “THE SECRET MEMOIRS OF A PRIEST ON A PILGRIMAGE OF FAITH” and My Statement Sheet to the Inspector General of Police,  written (Handwritten), signed and sealed by me. The documents illuminate the very reasons why the Bishop wants me dead at all costs and chronicles some of the effort he has made to kill me.

In contrast to the satanic propaganda, libel, blackmail, murder and a weapon of diocesan induced madness which the Bishop employs to discredit me, I do
hereby submit, in reference to the documents mentioned above, that the following points have fuelled the Bishop’s murderous appetite against me:
1.     My status as an astute international affair analyst as demonstrated by my term paper marked “DS/M20/BF” (enclosed). This provides the political links to my abduction on June 9, 2006.

2.     My status as a licensed theologian and my commitment to Theological Research as attested to by the many publications I have made in the internet. The Bishop has made several secret efforts to deny my person and eclipse it entirely prompting me to confront him officially with my letter of October 18, 2004 (enclosed and marked RS/M20/BF). For instance, my Admission Letter to the S.T.L. Programme of the Catholic Institute of West Africa, Port Harcourt, and the envelope that bore it, bears my name but a strange address thus:
Rev. Fr. Kenneth Evurulobi
Catholic Diocese of Aba
Diocesan Secretariat
P. M.B. 5099
Nnewi, Anambra State.
Was my identity being swerved with somebody else’s own? And who is the unseen beneficiary for whose sake my person must be suppressed, eclipsed, made to die perpetually only for me to be declared a mad person after I had shown signs of survival?

3.      My courage at the Pulpit and my determination to sue for reforms that are long overdue in the Catholic Church especially with regards to the Knighthood (conf; MM/M20/BF) through commitment to prayer and activism as evidenced by the following homilies/papers I have delivered at various places and times. They are marked as follows: KL/M20/BF, KG/M20/BF, KH/M20/BF, and KD/M20/BF.

On Wednesday, 29th of May, 2013, a ferocious attack by gunmen was again launched against my person at the TONIMAS Junction, Port Harcourt – Umuahia Express Road at about 8.30 am. I ran into the Housing Estate near the junction for safety and latter, launched an official report with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ralph Nwosu, former Vicar General, Catholic Diocese of Aba, and
made it known to him of my intention to make recourse again to the Police following from the collapse of the peace-talk between the Bishop and me which was spearheaded by the Aba Diocesan Priests Reconciliation Council headed by Very Rev. Fr. Innocent Nwokenna.

I, therefore, thank you, Sir, for your attention and prompt action.

Yours Faithfully,

REV. FR. KENNETH CHINKATA EVURULOBI.
